A Rubric for Trading-Education Projects

Assess explainable reasoning with explicit states, not invented student-performance statistics.

12 October 2026 / public curricula and original study procedures

Declare criteria before reviewing the answer

A rubric needs a visible task and criterion. Source identity asks whether the learner can locate the relevant original. Unit consistency asks whether price, quantity and money are distinguished. Assumption handling asks whether supplied information is separated from invented completion. A bounded conclusion asks what the evidence actually establishes.

Do not change the rubric after seeing a pleasing result. Keep the same standard for an initial and later attempt. Where tasks differ, describe the difference rather than claiming a measured improvement from incompatible exercises. A self-study rubric is a proposed educational design, not a validated measurement instrument.

Explain states without a misleading score

Missing means the artifact needed for the criterion is absent. Revision needed means an identifiable problem remains. Evidence supplied means a supporting artifact is recorded, not necessarily authenticated. Independently explained means the learner claims they can explain the criterion on a fresh task. It remains a reader's self-assessment until a real evaluator inspects it.

A four-out-of-four completeness tally would not establish a course ranking. The project therefore retains criterion-level notes and sources rather than star ratings. A failed explanation can be useful learning evidence when it names the specific error and next step.

Retain an assessment history

Preserve the baseline answer, feedback and later attempt. Include disagreements and unresolved issues; removing them can make progress appear smoother than it was. Use a fresh case to test transfer, and do not use an instructor's final answer as the learner's own independent work.

The downloadable template contains empty criteria and an explicitly synthetic example. No instructor, student population, pass rate or private engagement has been fabricated. The rubric supports an evidence conversation about the artifact; it cannot establish financial outcomes or grant account authority.
